Now a vocal instructor herself,  Abbey maintains the  concept, “ No matter how long you have been singing there is always something new to learn” She feels that no matter what, you should always be open to taking your art to a new level.

When she was 18 Abbey began working as a marketing executive in the home furnishings/interior design world. For seven years she continued with the company eventually buying it out and running it herself. However the musical part of her life was starting to take a stronghold and after recording two singles as an independent artist, she met Jason Hastie and the two of them started down the path that has now become Six West and a full time career.

In addition to her passions for music and business, Abbey has a strong passion for acting have played a part in 8 musical theatre productions, including her lead role of “Adelaide” in “Guys and Dolls.”  She is also a Certified Diver and greatly enjoys horseback riding, both for fun and the occasional competition. To date she is still teaching vocal performance and consulting in the marketing world, but above all else, trying  to encompass as much of her life in music as possible. “Although it’s still the music business, I always want to remember the reasons I am in it and appreciate that unbelievable feeling of being on stage and sharing your words with a crowd of people who are there to share that moment with you”
